Well the small bit of hope I had that Odom would join the Miami Heat is now gone - guess they will have to chase Boozer to make the team decent and have Wade consider staying.I still believe the Riley plan for 2010/11 will work out. Ideally next to Wade you would sign Chris Bosh and Joe Johnson, 2 unselfish team players who are exactly what the Heat needs. Whether the Heat trades for Bosh or not, next years line-up could be: Bosh (C), Beasley (PF), Joe Johnson (SF), Wade (SG), Chalmers (PG)…. or if that line-up is too small then have Jermaine O’Neal at center, Bosh PF, Beasley SF, Wade SG and Johnson at PG. Johnson is the ideal player to have next to Wade because he can score at will, can knock down the three and can handle the rock.
Bosh on the other hand is ideal up front because of his versatility. he can play center against smaller centers or move him to PF when Miami plays against a Shaq or Yao Ming. Then you have Jermaine O’Neal (who would be re-signed to a smaller contract).
Miami wont trade Beasley though to get this done. Why would you? He is a young promising player who is on the cusp of being a dominant player with his skills set. Build around him, Wade and Chalmers
We’ll see what the next few months bring in south FLA.
We might be waiting until the trade deadline for some moves….
