After you buy your jersey, you want to make sure it remains fresh and clean after its been worn.
Here are some tips of what to do and what not to do.
Storing your jersey:
Always hang your jersey up on a clothes hanger, especially if it’s a replica or swingman jersey. Replica jerseys have screen printed names and numbers and if it remains folded, after time these numbers can show cracks or even peeling. Swingman jerseys can develop crease marks or fold marks through the numbers if they are folded. If you choose to fold them, make sure the fold lines are not across the names or numbers. It’s always best to hang them up, even maybe on your wall to show who you represent!
Washing your jersey:
Always wash your jersey in low temperature setting, usually set on the delicate/silk option if you have one. Once its washed I recommend hanging the jersey on a clothes dryer rack inside. Try not to hang the jersey outdoors as the sun can damage the names and numbers on Replica jerseys while the jersey is wet (they can shrivel up like leaves do when the blazing sun is on them). You don’t need to iron your jersey as they will generally be crease free from being hung on a hanger.
